Jai Mahal Lake Palace

On a late afternoon in Rajasthan we watch the colorful parade of camels on the promenade by the lake. In the distance the Jai Mahal Lake Palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City undergoes a renovation. The lake is a soft mineral green and blue, calm waters lap at the shore and gold glints seductively off the roof turrets in the early evening sunset. For a moment, in the stillness, you feel as if time stops and that you alone are privy to the rebirth of the grand kingdom.
